Description
Link's Awakening is one of the greatest games ever, and easily my favorite in the Zelda series, yet it and it's other Game Boy brethren are often overlooked.
I've chosen to render here the epic showdown between Link and the Grim Creeper, riding high atop the Evil Eagle in a fight to the finish at the Eagle's Tower, perched precariously in the grandiose Tal Tal Heights of Koholint Island.
A lot of people also overlook how awesome the Boss battles are in these older games. They may not have looked impressive in their 8 bit graphics, but part of the fun is imagining them, or seeing drawings of them in the game's manuals and thinking "wow, how cool!" and that's something that's sort of died out in this modern age of 3-D gaming.
Some people say the Evil Eagle was a pushover, requiring only 6 hits from your hookshot to kill, but when you consider the fact that entails a big metal hook on a chain both going into AND coming back out of you SIX times, well, you kind of realize how much that has to sting.

I've played this game countless times over many many years and not once did I think to use the Hookshot! I always waited for him to fly past and hit him with my sword!
